When you log in to play on this server you are agreeing to abide by the following rules. Failure to do so will result in a warning, where further breaching of the rules will result in punishment proportionate to the rule broken.
1. Do not harass other players OOC in any way. In character conflict is an important part of any story, please make sure that it remains in character at all times. If you believe you are being harassed for OOC reasons, please keep screenshots of any conversations you have with the person responsible and reach out to a DM immediately.
2. You are expected to remain in-character as much as you can. Please keep the majority of OOC conversations to tells.
3. In-character cursing and other adult language is fine in moderation but please avoid excessive use of it and keep it context/scene appropriate.
4. Do not transfer gold and items from one character to another.
5. PvP is acceptable on Bruehawks only when the following criteria is met:
- If you wish to engage someone in PvP you must be able to prove that their character has acted antagonistically towards yours. Screenshots of the roleplay leading up to the PvP engagement will be asked for by DMs, and if they cannot be provided the engagement will be rolled back.
- You may not engage someone in PvP who has not shown themselves to be antagonistic to your character. Sometimes stories involving many characters will have conflict within the group, especially if villainous PCs are involved. It is important to know your own comfort in regards to PvP and to steer clear of any situations where you may find yourselof making enemies should you not wish to participate in PvP.
- Alternatively, both players may agree to roleplay out their fight and use the in-game dice system to handle the mechanics of the fight. Both players must abide by the results of the dice rolls, however.
6. Use of the Pick Pocket skill on other players is an act that warrants being engaged in PvP.
7. Players of villains who have acquired a bounty or who have earned themselves a reputation for being evil and villainous are not protected by the same rules. It is important that if you play a villain you are accepting of potential consequences.
